Bentonville West 77, Fort Scott, Kan. 45
Collier Blackburn had 17 points to lead a trio of West players in figures as the Wolverines remained unbeaten with a win at the Tri-State Basketball Classic in Willard, Mo.
Ben Larsen had 13 and Gabe Hornsby added 10 for West (3-0), which returns to action at 5:30 p.m. today against Harrison.
Nixa, Mo. 69, Fayetteville 55
In its first game playing with a full roster, Fayetteville (0-3) fell short in the opening round of the Arvest Bank Classic in Springfield, Mo., Thursday.
Darius Bowers led the Bulldogs, who fell behind 25-5 early, with 13 points in a starting role and Collin Cooper added 11 in the loss. On a positive note, Fayetteville scored 42 second-half points after a slow start. Up next is Lafayette (Mo.) Wildwood today at 4 p.m.
Omaha 74, Green Forest 33
Garrett Matlock scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half as unbeaten Omaha cruised past Green Forest in the semifinal round of the Omaha Border Classic.
Seth Lippe added 18 points and Jon Rylee France 12 for Omaha (13-0), which will play in Saturday's championship game against Western Grove. The Eagles were in control from the outset as they bolted to a 25-9 lead in the first quarter.
Rhett Powell led Green Forest with 13 points.
Dover 58, Jasper 52
Jasper couldn't overcome Dover's third-quarter barrage Wednesday night and suffered a loss during consolation play during a battle of Pirates at the Omaha Border Classic.
Jasper (5-9) led 27-24 at halftime but was outscored 26-2 in the third quarter as Dover claimed a 50-29 lead.
Caleb Carter led Jasper with 19 points and Laythan Collins added 18.
Bentonville West 40, Fort Scott, Kan. 37
Ashaundi Henry hit one of two free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining to help West upend Fort Scott during the opening day of the Tri-State Basketball Classic in Willard, Mo.
Kelsie Mahone had 13 points for the Lady Wolverines (2-1), who led 23-21 at halftime. Shania Wilson and Anna Kash each added eight points for West, which plays Harrison today.
Springdale Har-Ber 53, Lamar, Mo. 34
Krislyn Smith had 18 points and five rebounds as Har-Ber earned its second win this week against a Missouri oppoent.
Sophie Nelson and Savannah Collins each had 13 for the Lady Wildcats (3-2), with Nelson adding five steals and five rebounds.
Mountainburg 52, Elkins 41
Kassy Pense had 14 points as Mountainburg rolled past Elkins and advanced to the championship game of the Decatur Holiday Hoops Tournament.
Shelby Watkins and Greta Rutherford added 11 apiece for the Lady Dragons (3-2).
Prairie Grove 44, Scranton 15
Eight players scored for Prairie Grove in its opening game Wednesday at the Scranton Tournament.
Jordan Sugg led the way with nine points while Meliah Hutsell and Sarah Jane Stone followed with eight apiece. Scranton did not score more than five points in any quarter.
