Open since 1991, Hunan Manor has upheld a tradition for more than 20 years of dishing up authentic, tasteful Chinese cuisine with exceptional service in a modern, clean atmosphere.
In 2007, the restaurant moved from U.S. 71 Business to a new, modern-designed building on Wedington Drive.
Specializing in dishes of the Hunan and Szechuan styles, the Fayetteville eatery has an extensive menu, along with lunch and dinner buffets and a drive-thru window.
Meals are prepared to order and are served quickly. Special requests, including steam cooking, light sauce or no MSG, are graciously accommodated.
Owner Helen Chou says the stability and dedication of her long-term staff is a significant factor in the success of the restaurant.
"We are lucky to have them," she said. "They are really good people and are friendly and professional."
The lunch buffet is offered 11 a.m.-3 p.m. daily for $8.72. The dinner buffet is available 4-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday for $9.71.
The buffet line offers 16 of the most popular dishes, including House Special Chicken, lemon chicken, General Tso's Chicken, beef and broccoli, and Mongolian pork. Side items include bacon-fried rice, stir-fried green beans, lo mein, egg rolls, fried wontons and soup.
The drive-thru lunch menu is limited to a dozen selections to make fast, fresh preparation. All lunch specials, served with an egg roll and fried rice, are $7.12 or less. Choices include sweet and sour chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Kung Pao chicken, beef with broccoli, pepper steak or shrimp with lobster sauce.
The full menu is available for dine-in or carry-out from open to close, except during 3-4 p.m. when the kitchen is closed. The restaurant is also closed on Tuesdays.
Familiar Chinese dishes are abundant on the menu. Hunan Manor also offers many house specialties.
