Springdale firefighters bring comedians for charity

SPRINGDALE -- The Springdale Firefighters Association is hosting a comedy show Friday to raise money for children's Christmas presents.

Comedians Andy Park and Joey Aiello will perform, according to a news release from the association.

Park has been working in film, television and on stage for more than 20 years. He founded the DIII Comedy Improv Show in Branson and works in the Comedy Jamboree there.

Aiello was the regional winner on The Next Great Comic and appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing. He is touring and lives in Branson.

The event starts at 8 p.m. at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center. Admission is $10 a person.

Groups receiving the proceeds include the EOA Children's House, which provides long-term treatment for victims of child abuse and neglect in Northwest Arkansas and Camp Sunshine Arkansas, a four-day residential camp for pediatric burn survivors, according to the release.
